Download the launcher
Just one small executable (80.62 MB). It's the one that goes and fetches the game, not you.

Choose an install folder
On first launch, the launcher asks where to install the game — for example C:\Games\Doforia. Avoid the Desktop and synced folders (OneDrive, Google Drive): the game writes to it every session.

Let the download run
The launcher fetches the 9,044 game files, 4.69 GB in all. It checks that each one arrived intact and resumes where it left off if the connection drops.

Create your account
The account is created right here, on the website. The same username and password work for both the game and the launcher: there's no second account to manage.

Enter your credentials in the launcher, pick the world Doforia, create your character and you're in the World of Twelve.

Playing on Mac or Linux
The Doforia client is built for Windows. On Mac and Linux you run it through a compatibility layer — the method the Dofus community has used for years, and it works well.
The idea is simple: install the compatibility layer, then run our Windows installer inside it. The launcher, the client download and the game all live in that same environment.
On macOS
On an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 to M4), install Rosetta first if you have not already: open Terminal and run softwareupdate --install-rosetta.
- Install CrossOver (14-day free trial, then paid). It is the best maintained and most reliable option on Mac.
- Create a new bottle using Windows 10, 64-bit.
- Inside that bottle, run the
Doforia-Launcher-Setup.exeinstaller downloaded above. - Open the launcher from the bottle: it downloads the client and starts the game as usual.
Free alternative: Wine, or a front-end such as Mythic or Porting Kit. No cost, but more hands-on. ⚠️ Do not use Whisky any more — development stopped in 2025.
On Linux

Install Wine (64-bit) with your distribution package manager:

Run the installer you downloaded above:
wine Doforia-Launcher-Setup-1.0.6.exe - Then start the launcher from your applications menu, or with
wine.
Lutris and Bottles make it easier to create and back up the environment if you prefer a graphical interface.
We cannot guarantee these systems will work: they are not officially supported, and performance depends on your machine. If you get stuck, open a ticket on Discord — other players have probably been there before you.
Running into trouble during install? First check the server status, then ask on Discord.
Check that the file is intact
The code below is the one for the file we publish. If you want to make sure your download really is ours and was not damaged on the way, you can compare it with the one for your file. It is not required: the launcher already does this for you.
