You can upgrade an alliance prism by adding this module and then extracting the magic essence of any thingamajig you want in order to craft other stuff, which you can sell for ten times the price of a whatchamacallit. It has been set up to fairly distribute the gains between the alliance and the recycler (50% for the character and 50% for the alliance).
